The 2025 Subaru Forester draws internal motivation from a 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® four-cylinder engine that generates 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. This unique flat-four powerplant utilizes a horizontally opposed piston layout to deliver capable performance with less engine vibration.
